5 Artists, 1 Band. Playing solo & band material.

LA-based collective, The Internet, continue their love affair with Australia, returning to play Laneway sideshows with a difference in January and February.

The Internet Presents The Internet Tour will have its final run in Australia - born out of the band’s solo releases this tour showcases the band deconstructed – 5 Artists, 1 Band. Playing solo and band material. Each member will take centre stage to serve up a set of solo material while the rest of the band backs them up. Five artists, one band reassembled at the end of the evening.
The collective will showcase songs spanning their entire career, including the Grammy-nominated Ego Death, along with solo jams and side projects from Odd Future to Jet Age of Tomorrow.

Since their last visit, Syd has released a full-length album, Fin, and last month dropped a surprise three-track solo EP, Always Never Home. With The Drum Chord Theory from band mate Matt Martians and Steve Lacy’s Demo EP also released this year, which put him on Wire Magazine's Tech Visionary List, there’s no shortage of brand new cuts to unleash on Australian fans.

After enrapturing audiences on their last two sold-out Australian tours, the band is ready to offer something new to music lovers on The Internet Presents The Internet Melbourne and Sydney shows next year.

“They explore sonic space, allowing for exciting pivots and an industrious live show that’s as adventurous as their sound” - LA Weekly

“… it’s (Syd’s) honeyed, gossamer vocals that illuminate the broken heart beating within the group’s ethereal, neon-lit funk, investing them with mystery, humour and carnal hunger…”The Guardian

“Syd Tha Kyd is one captivating character… Such sweetly nuanced music is a treat to hear and see live”Art Felicis
